Welcome to the pages of the sport climbing club "Kiipeilyurheilijat" and our weekly training groups.
Climbing training in weekly groups is organized in the Kiipeilyareena gyms. Junior climber can exercise once a week, or more often for extra fee.
Weekly groups are for children aged 5-17. The groups train according to age and abilities.
Trainings are weekday evenings, and on Saturdays (for the youngest). Our gyms are located in Salmisaari, Kalasatama (bouldering only) and Tammisto (bouldering only).
Only the Tuesday & Thursday lead group always trains twice a week, as well as the competition group, which has its own training calendar.
Climbing training seasons follow mainly the school schedules. The spring season runs from January to the end of May and the fall season runs from August to December. There are 19 training sessions per season.

WHERE TO COME?
New juniors at Salmisaari will come directly to the 2nd floor junior area to wait for the group to start. It is right next to Megazone at the end of the corridor. The climbing arena staff will help you find the right place if needed. Junnutila is located on the left of the 2nd floor lifts, at the end of the corridor, next to the Megazone. Tammisto and Kalasatama groups meet in the lobby.
WHAT GEAR DO YOU NEED?
CLOTHES: sports wear, thin socks, especially if you wear loan shoes at first. The instructors help first-timers choose climbing shoes. Harnesses is also given by the instructors. The climbing arena will initially offer free rental shoes and harnesses to those who need them, and they can be borrowed at the beginning of the season for five sessions. You should get your own shoes and harness as soon as possible. The staff at the climbing arena will advise and guide you in buying shoes and harnesses. As members of the club, the junior will receive a 20% discount on all normal-priced products from the Kiipeilyareena store.
You should eat a snack before you start climbing. You can also eat a banana or similar fruit after training. Also bring a water bottle Long hair should be on a ponytail or braid. Nails should be cut short. The instructor's advice should always be followed. A climber can be removed from the group if the instructions are not followed.

Emails concerning juniors will be sent from @info to @katri. Things are not speeded up by the use of different channels, this only jams up the administration. Normal response time is 0-2 business days.
